Microsoft just released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17704 (Redstone 5) to Windows Insiders in the Fast and Skip Ahead Rings, Introducing many new features and improvements. One nifty new feature currently being deployed to Windows 10 is the ability to check how much power your given software is consuming.

Power Usage / Power Usage Trend it’s a useful feature to find the apps and services using maximum power. This should be pretty handy, if the measurement process is close enough to the real power consumption. It will show the energy impact of each with language such as ”Very low”. According to Microsoft The “trends” column won’t light up immediately, but will instead start providing an impact after two minutes.
