Even though the newly released title in the Far Cry franchise was received pretty well in the UK; topping the charts this week. It’s launch week sales were significantly less compared to the previous titles in the franchise.
If we compare New Dawn’s sales to its predecessor, Far Cry:5, then the sales went down by 87%. Moreover, it sold 75% less than Far Cry: Primal.
While it was expected the reception wouldn’t be grand due to the fact it is a spin-off of Far Cry:5 opposed to something afresh. Furthermore, a great part of the community also felt that the ending of Far Cry:5 was underwhelming, which also contributed to the low sales.
