As Intel is preparing to launch the 8th Generation Coffee Lake processors on August 21, Today we will be comparing synthetic benchmarks of the Intel’s and AMD’s High-End processors, revealing the performance level of not yet released CPU’s. Intel’s (6-Core & 12 Threads) Core i7-8700K was recently spotted in 3DMark 11 performance test while Intel’s 4C/8T i3 8300 has also been seen previously with the base clock of 4.0 GHz.
3DMark – Physical Score
Intel Core i7 8700K – Specifications
Intel Coffee Lake Core i7-8700K processor has (6-Cores & 8-Threads), a formal TDP of 95W, 12MB of L3 cache and a dual-channel DDR4-2666 memory controller. The operating frequency of this chip is in the range from 3.7 to 4.7 GHz in Turbo Boost mode while the test bench was equipped with the Supermicro C7Z370-CG-L motherboard paired with 16 GB of RAM and AMD Radeon RX 480 graphics card.
These test results shows the performance score of the Core i7-8700K which is 14,000 operating at base frequencies which was equivalent to the performance of the overclocked (8-Core & 16 Threads) Ryzen 7 1800X and Ryzen 7 1700X.
The truth of the performance test of Intel’s Core i7 8700K has yet to be confirmed, These synthetic benchmarks shows how the Intel’s upcoming Coffee Lake Flagship processor will perform.
