AMD has finally announced the specifications, the pricing and availability details for the AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper in a video presented by AMD CEO Lisa Su and the availability and specs of the AMD’s Ryzen 3 processors as well.
Pricing and Availability of Ryzen 3 and Ryzen Threadripper Processors – Video
AMD Ryzen Threadripper will be available around the globe in early August. There will be also a 12 cores and 24 threads model as AMD has already announced a 16 cores and 32 threads model. Both CPUs will be unlocked, will use a TR4 socket, support for quad channel DDR4 memory and 64 PCI-E lanes. The 12 cores Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has a base clock of 3.5 GHz with a precision boost of 4.0 GHz, while the base clock on the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16 core is 3.4 GHz with precision boost of 4.0 GHz.
If you have watched the video above, you can see that both Ryzen Threadripper processors offers greater performance and score on Cinebench R15 than the Intel Core i9 7900X.
AMD is on it’s way to launching the AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors and motherboards in early August. There is also gonna be a Alienware Area-51 Threadripper Edition which will be available to pre-orders starting from 27th of July.
AMD has also announced the specifications and availability for the Ryzen 3 processors, which have 4 cores, Zen-based CPU’s available in two desktop models. The Ryzen 3 1300X has a clock base of 3.5 GHz and boost of 3.7 GHz, and the Ryzen 3 1200 has a clock base of 3.1 GHz and boost of 3.4 GHz. Both CPU’s will be released worldwide on 27th July, 2017.
