Reports coming from Hermitage Akihabara, Japan have stated that threadripper will launch on 10 August 2017, Bundled with AIO liquid cooling solution as a stock cooler. We still have no idea for which CPU they will put AIO.
But we know Threadripper will offer alot of CPU performance for the money. In AMD video presentation last week we saw 800$ Threadripper beating Intel 7900x in cinebench.
The most obvious issue is X399 Socket, which is not supported by the majority of today’s CPU coolers which will make hard to find liquid solution to cool this chip at launch.
If they bundle AIO liquid solution with 799$ and 999$ CPU that amd announced last week, This will add a lot more value to AMD newest platform as Intel does not ship stock cooling solutions with X299 CPUs.
