Today we’re gonna review an SSD from Samsung and see how it performs and is it still worth buying in 2019? Samsung 860 EVO is one of the world best selling SSD, It is widely sold in the Pakistani markets and it’s easily available. The company is also well known for producing the world’s fastest SSDs. Samsung 860 EVO comes with 3bit MLC 3D V-NAND technology which is same as the 850 but 860 EVO has an updated MJX Controller.

The EVO lineup of SSD’s from Samsung aims for the mainstream desktop and laptop users. Samsung 860 EVO comes with highest capacity of 4TB and with the minimum capacity of 250GB. We got the 500GB box-packed SSD for performing the tests.

Starting with the most commonly used CrystalDiskMark we observe the sequential read speed of 563.1MB/s and write speed of 533.8MB/s. The 860 EVO performance a bit better than Samsung has mention which is good.

While running the AS SSD Benchmarks we similar results showing the sequential read speed of 529.05MB/s and write speed of 503.73MB/s. Read and Write speeds will vary randomly.

For in-depth performance results we ran ATTO Disk Benchmarks and you can see the performance as you scale up through file size and we end up seeing similar results as on other benchmark software.

Final Conclusion:

Samsung 860 EVO surely delivers and amazing performance and outperforms it competitions but also comes on an expensive side costing ($70) 9,000 to 10,000PKR for 250GB and ($100) 14,000 to 15,000PKR for 500GB model.
